Pan American Games is a major sporting event in the Americas, in which thousands of Athletes participate in a variety of competitions. The competitions is held every four years in the year before the Summer Olympic Games. This is the most second famous tournament in the world. This year it will be held in Lima Peru.

In 2021 there will be a Junior Pan American Games for young athletes. The next XVIII Pan American Games 2019 will be in Lima, Peru. The Parapan American Games are held immediately following the Pan American Games.

Over 5000 and above athletes are compete at the Pan Am Games in 36 sports and nearly 400 events. The first, second and third place finishers in each event receive gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.

It will be held in Lima, July 26 to August 11 2019 with preliminary rounds in certain events beginning on July 24, 2019 for which nearly 400 millions viewers are expected to watch these game.

These Pan American Games will be held at venues in and around Lima, and will be the largest sporting event in ever hosted by the country.

The opening ceremony starts with the hosting of the host country’s flag and a performance of its national anthem . The host nation then presents artistic displays of music, singing, dance and theater representative its culture and history .

Pan Am- Games Closing Ceremony :

Pan Am- Games closing ceremony takes place after all sporting events have finished. The closing ceremony includes a 15 minutes presentation from the next host city.
